For several years, VQ OrthoCare has had a relationship with Charlie Engle. Passion and caring are the two words that made us believe Charlie Engle was the right spokesperson for our company. Charlie is a very passionate individual. Secondly, Charlie cares. He cares not only about his athletic accomplishments, but more importantly, he wants to make a difference in the world in which we live.

An integral facet of making a difference, is finding partners and causes who commit to and achieve a common vision. Charlie’s deliberate, passionate and uncompromising nature has enabled him to achieve the apparently impossible from an athletic perspective. For example, he led an expedition of three ultra-endurance athletes to run across 4500 miles of the Sahara Desert by completing two marathons a days for 111 consecutive days. While the athletic achievement was astounding, he is using the resulting accolades to prompt awareness and a call to action addressing the critical need for plentiful, safe, and accessible drinking water. VQ OrthoCare has joined Charlie and is a sponsor and partner of H2O Africa’s Water Well Construction Project and of the Running the Sahara Expedition, which was documented in Matt Damon’s film of the same name that is due for release this year.

Charlie’s future plans include Running America, in which he will attempt to break a 28-year-old record by running from coast-to-coast in under 45 days (the quick math equates to nearly three marathons a day for 45 consecutive days). VQ OrthoCare is a sponsor of Running America.
