Specifications
Fingers 45° hyperextension
180° flexion (full fist)
Thumb full flexion/extension of osteoarticular column
Wrist 70° - 70° flexion - extension
90° - 90° pronation - supination

Indications

  • When passive motion is indicated, post-operative applications of CPM therapy may be used to help prevent joint stiffness and soft tissue contractures
  • Flexor and extensor tenolysis
  • Aponeurectomies for Dupuytrens disease
  • Metacarpophalangeal arthrolysis
  • Open reduction-internal fixation (ORIF) of intra-articular, diaphyseal, metaphyseal, epiphyseal fractures of the phalanges
  • Prosthetic replacement of the MP, PIP and DIP joints
  • Rheumatoidal — neurological or after burn stiffness
  • Capsulotomies, arthrolysis and tenolysis for post-traumatic stiffness of MP, PIP and DIP joints
  • Synovectomies

Contraindications/Precautions

  • Not to be used in the presence of untreated or uncontrolled infection, unstable fractures or spastic paralysis

NOTE: If signs of infection such as hyperthermia, irritation, swelling, bleeding, or increased or persistent pain are observed, CPM should be avoided or discontinued until infection is controlled.
