Job Title: Payor Relations Regional Account Rep

Job Description:
The qualified individual that accepts this position will have the opportunity to make field sales calls to third-party insurance providers for the purpose of new business development & securing contracts.

  • Responsible for contract development, business maintenance, product/service education, and identification of potential global A/R collection/resolution opportunities.
  • Make face to face calls to Nurse Case Managers, Claims Managers, Claims Supervisors, Claims Adjusters, Occupational Health Nurses, Risk Managers and others who represent the payor market, including:
    • Workers’ Compensation direct insurers
    • Third Party Administrators (TPAs)
    • Self-Insured, Self Administered Employers (SISAs)
    • Preferred Provider Organizations (PPOs)
    • Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs)
    • Bill Review/Utilization Review (UR) organizations
  • Identify direct contracting/discounted pricing opportunities within the 3rd party Payor market whereby the contract will result in enhanced business relationships, incremental revenue growth, and prompt payment for goods and services provided by VQ OrthoCare.

  • Utilize computers & software such as Word, Excel, Access and other standard MS Office Programs at an intermediate level of proficiency
  • Proficient in customer and/or departmental database programs
  • Quick learner, detail-minded & proactive problem solver.
  • Ability to understand & train on the operation of products manufactured &/or distributed by the Company

 

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree from four-year College or University in Marketing, Communications, Healthcare Management, Client Business Management or a related field, preferred
    Additional 5+ years related experience or equivalent of education plus directly related education, training and experience
  • Specific knowledge of third-party reimbursement contracting, ideally for orthopedic rehabilitation products with state workers’ compensation and/or managed care providers.
