Job Description:

The Mechanical CAD Operator / Product Specification Technician is responsible for providing engineering support to Manufacturing, Product Development, and Quality departments. Assist in the specification of manufacturing and test equipment/fixtures/jigs. Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to: Obtain critical design factors, dimensions, and tolerances from Engineering, Operations, and Manufacturing. Check whether these tolerances are acceptable and repeatable for suppliers. Obtain any pertinent material/process information & specifications from Suppliers (via e-mail or phone).

Job Requirements:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Minimum 2-year experience in technical CAD drafting, in both 2D and 3D SolidWorks design software. Preferred experience in Metalworking, Plastic Injection molding, and textiles. Preferred experience includes creating medical Design History Files / Technical Files. Highly Proficient in SolidWorks CAD modeling software. Understanding of Engineering/Mechanical principles. Some mechanical design/manufacturing knowledge and experience in the medical device industry.
